In Dragonfly class, the children start to become independent learners, applying their knowledge that they have learnt in Reception.
We focus on building independence and resilience towards learning.
The children continue to actively learn, taking our ‘Growth Mindset’ very seriously, learning that it is crucial to achieving success throughout life. We aim for high standards and work hard to maintain them.
We acknowledge the opportunity to take risks within our learning whilst fostering a positive attitude towards learning. Aspirations are set high, whist acknowledging each child’s emotional well-being and development and ensuring they are at the forefront in all that we do.
Positive attitude towards learning
Our Dragonfly children are offered responsibilities within the school – for example, worship leaders, library monitors. This encourages our children to take responsibility for themselves, others and their environment.
